| Help Launch An Urban Garden |
Agency: Latino Farmer's Cooperative of Louisiana
Description:
If you're interested in the local food movement or just gardening, come get your hands dirty! Volunteers are needed to help launch the Esperanza Micro-Farm/Community Garden, an urban residential site located in Harvey, LA (Westbank). Support The Esperanza's farming efforts by planting, weeding, harvesting and cleaning. Beautification projects will also be a high priority as volunteers are needed to paint, clean, fence and create signs for the site. This project is led by HandsOn New Orleans' Volunteer Leaders.
