If you enjoy cooking or want to learn how to cook, then come to the New Orleans Mission 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. You will be cooking, cleaning, preparing food and most of all having lots of fun. This oppoprtunity is limited to 5 volunteers per session. Here are some reactions from previous volunteers: “This was an extremely rewarding experience. I hate that there are people in the world who struggle for food and shelter! This allowed me to feel like I was doing something about it.” “Great experience. Loretta was fabulous and such an interesting person to chat with. We cleaned out the huge freezer, organized a big food delivery and cooked lunch and dinner. A well-rounded day.” “Cooking with the Chef was great! Loretta guided me through the preparation of a delicious meal. I also had the chance to work alongside Natalie, Katie, and Kevin. The atmosphere was upbeat and energetic. We made a lemon pepper chicken on a bed of pasta for lunch and prepared BBQ'd ribs, chicken cacciatore, and a lemon cake desert. This is a great volunteer opportunity that I would recommend to newcomers and old pros! Thanks Loretta!”
