Discover the value of your company's employees working together to benefit the community. Workplace volunteerism builds teams, cultivates leaders, links your business's values to community involvement, and enhances your reputation with the community.

Be The Change...By The Close Of Business

Major change can happen in the course of just one day. Hands@Work projects are designed so volunteers can:

  • See visible transformations from their efforts;
  • Have a sense of teamwork, collaboration, and achievement; and
  • Have a better appreciation of the value of their service to the community.

HandsOn New Orleans works with organizations of all sizes to engage employees in community service

What We Offer

In parterning with HandsOn New Orleans we will:
  • Identify the community project:
We will find a project for your volunteers based on community need, day/time of service, and the number of volunteers. You will be given the chance to select the project option before further planning ensues.
  • Assess the work:
Projects typically have a variety of tasks for varying skill levels. We will develop a project scope with the tasks to be completed and the number of volunteers required for each task.
  • Prepare supplies:
We will determine, secure, and set up all supplies prior to the project; including any necessary safety equipment.
  • Provide onsite leadership:
We will guide volunteers during the day of service by assigning trained volunteer leaders, OR we can train your volunteers to lead projects.
  • Facilitate service-learning:
In order to completely understand the context of the project within the community, we will provide a brief orientation to all volunteers either prior to or on the day of service.
  • Report the impact:
We will complete a final report of the project with quotes, pictures, and facts from the day of service in order to highlight the project's community impact.
